Budding Bodies: A Discussion About Growing Up

Budding Bodies: A Discussion About Growing Up

Wednesday 3rd April 2019 18:15-19:15pm

At Tomato Studio, 174 High Road N2 9AS

Join us for an empowering discussion about early puberty, body changes and breasts primarily for mothers and daughters but all are welcome.  The discussion will be facilitated by Emma Pickett, lactation consultant and author of 'The Breast Book'. There will be a quiet activity available for younger children.

We encourage parents of younger daughters to attend and inform themselves before their child gets to the stage where their bodies begin to change.

£10 per family. The frst 10 families to book  will receive a free copy of 'The Breast Book' (aimed at 9-14 years olds, a puberty book with a difference: it's the when, why and how of breasts. http://www.pinterandmartin.com/the-breast-book).

  • What can we expect in the first few years of puberty and how can we make that experience easier?

  • What do girls deserve to know about their breasts and how might this impact on their experience as mothers?

  • How can we talk to our daughters and sons about breasts?

  • How can we help our children grow into confident young people in the age of social media?

This event is as much for Mothers as it is for daughters!
